Last month, the Spring Blog Festival took place and I attended it; here you have the comments I shared with my classmates:
t has been the first time I have attended an online class, and I was kind of affraid, I did not know what to expect about online teaching conferences, but the experience was very nice.
I had to work on Saturday so I could only attend one of the conferenes, it was Ebba Ossiannilson'1. She talked about andragogy, a term I had never heard before, which could be the equivalent of pedagogy for adult education, I found it really interesting as it is often thought that adults do not need special attention when learning, not like kids.
One other interesting point she made was about badges. She said paper CVs and certificates are getting obsolete, as they do not measure people's real skills. I think it was a great point and I totally agree with her, as it seems that by getting a certificate, which you can have obtained in a lucky day, you know everything you need, and for me that is not true.
As a conclusion, it was a nice experience I would repeat, you can choose what conferences to attend to, and you can learn from the confort of your home
